That was really lovely. I like the dreamlike atmosphere, not sure if it's really happening or not. And I love the idea that Luna is not quite human. :) And this --

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I do struggle with these age-difference-young-girl pairings, but I liked the idea that she might be a different kind of creature for whom a different idea of autonomy and fulfillment might be in play.

Well, this is perfect. I mean... just... perfect. Luna's wisdom and innocence and otherworldliness is just palpable here, and it's absolutely what Severus needs in order to face his last task.

She knows what will come to pass.

And he knows enough not to fight her gift.

I absolutely adored this. So sweet, yet full of angst. And I love that Severus tries to resist but realises that he should be allowed this one bit of goodness.

Thank you so much, and thank you for the prompt! I had the beginnings of this on my hard drive for years as a Snape/Hermione piece, and it never worked (the personalities just didn't fit the interaction IMO). I knew there was the seeds of something to it but it never occurred to me to try it with a different student. And then when I saw the prompt, I had one of those skidding-to-a-halt moments and went, WHOA. I can do something with this!
