Hello everyone!

We're very excited to be taking over as mods of

rarepair_shorts. Each of us have a few paragraphs to introduce ourselves and tell you about our favourite rare pairs.

I'm Sam. I've been in the HP fandom since it was all about reading every article on the Lexicon and possible plot was heatedly debated on mugglenet. It took me a while to get writing and then I dipped in and out of while still hanging around the fandom.

I'm excited to be part of this mod team as I love the uniqueness of this community. It has been wonderful to see it survive while others have struggled.

I love exploring the 'what if Voldemort won' aspects of the canon and what if X made a different choice. I always have a million verses running around my head. Maybe one day I will get them all written out.

I love Harry/Cho and Harry/Parvati and what could have happened there. Other than that I love most rare pairs if you can sell to me why they are together.

I've been active on livejournal since 2013, before that I was mostly doing fandom stuff on ff.net and tumblr. I've been pretty happy to be on LJ, making new friends, and improving my writing.

I'm super stoked to be co-modding this awesome community. I have a soft spot for rare pairs and I love running fests with them, giving them a chance to shine some light on all the characters of the HP universe.

My fav. rare pairs are: Neville/Charlie, Sirius/Harry in slash, and although I don't write HET, my fav. rare pair in that category has always been Neville/Pansy. For Femmeslash, I like to write Hermione/Pansy, and I like to create art with Ginny/Luna, and basically Luna/anyone and Ginny/anyone.

I like the idea of exploring side characters and giving them more of a personality and the "what if" scenarios. I love the fact that Neville was almost "the Chosen One," and even though I don't write him in an AU setting like that, I like to give him a kick-ass personality. To me, he's got a great fire inside him and I love seeing it come out.

We are going to have lots of fun stuff for you in 2016 so be sure to keep following us and let us know if you have any ideas of what you'd like to see.

sirmioneforever), and I am really excited to be part of the new mod team. Most of you will have seen me around as I’ve been part of the comm for a few years.

My favourite het rare pair is Hermione/Rabastan, and my favourite femslash pair is Parvati/Lavender. I love Hermione/Rabastan (and Rodolphus too!) because of the whole opposite attract thing. I think that there are so many clichés’ attached to them that it’s a challenge to write something unique.

Parvati/Lavender is my favourite femslash pairing as I love exploring how their friendship turns into a relationship, the difficulties they might face, and the influence of Parvati’s Indian background on the relationship too. Although I’m not really into slash, I do like Regulus/Antonin.

I hope that all of you will join in any future fests we do and generally stay in the comm as I would love to see it grow.

We really hope that you stick around as we have plenty of fun in store for you.
