Title: An Unfortunate Mistake
Character Pairing: Basilisk/Mrs. Norris
Rating: G
Word Count: 200
Author's Notes: Yes, I am definitely one of those people who think, "Oh God no, I can't write crack to save my life," but since the mods asked so nicely, I decided to give it a shot. ;)
He'd been just about to attack when he realized how beautiful his victim was, her wide eyes gleaming in the torch light. Taken aback, he hesitated, drawn to the ruffled fur, the lithe body, the little paws. Closing his eyes, he lowered himself, eager to be closer to this lovely little creature.
She meowed and pressed against him; he hissed with pleasure and licked her neck. Purring, the cat rubbed more eagerly against his scales, her long tail curling seductively in the air. It was lucky no intruders were about; they were entirely alone in the corridor, which had suddenly become their own private love chamber.
As they entangled, hissing and meowing with growing intensity, he suddenly found himself desperate to see her, to stare reverently into those glowing, emotional eyes. Before he could stop himself, realize what he was doing, his eyes flew open and devoured her form, stirring his blood into a frenzy.
Unfortunately, his beloved Mrs. Norris caught the reflection of his gaze and immediately froze, her once graceful twists transforming into a stiff, motionless form. Realizing his mistake, the basilisk began to sob, adding a substantial amount of water to the puddle on the castle floor.
