When the clock stroke 6 o'clock, a small barn owl entered a greenhouse full of lush leaves and fragrant blossoms. It carried a small roll of parchment and a calla lily.
"Hannah," it read. "Meet me at the Eye at 9. Wear the blue one. Love, Kevin."
Hannah smiled and dropped the pruning shears, exiting the greenhouse.
When the clock stroke 9 o'clock, Hannah climbed the few steps to the entrance cabin of the London Eye. Kevin awaited her with a smile and greeted her with a kiss.
When the clock stroke 10 o'clock, the cabin with the couple had stopped at the highest point of wheel and Kevin was seen to go on his knee. Hannah clapped her hands in front of her mouth and tears filled her eyes.
When the clock stroke 11 o'clock, the couple was seen as it strolled Kensington Gardens. They danced to music only they could hear in a pavilion. The moonlight caught in the gemstone of the ring she wore at middle finger of her left hand.
When the clock stroke midnight, the couple silently entered a flat. Kissing and touching, they walked into the bedroom and unhurriedly undressed each other.
When the clock stroke one o'clock, the wind caught gently in the curtains of the four-poster. Kevin and Hannah lay there cuddling, their hands intertwined, when he stroked her left hand absent-mindedly.
"Are you happy?" "With you? Always."
