A TOUCH OF WARMTH
Hunching down in his coat, his face mostly hidden by his scarf, Rabastan watched the children building, of all things, a snow-Merlin. To him it looked like a large ball with a smaller ball on top of it and a rough cone of pine twigs atop that.
He stomped his feet in an effort to keep circulation going and jammed his gloved hands deeper in his pockets.
“Uncle Rab. Look!”
Rabastan looked over to where his three year old niece had stuck two small pine cones either side of what he assumed was the head.
“What are they Ember?”
She rolled her eyes. “They’re ears silly.”
“Yes silly,” He shivered, not from cold, as a seductively husky voice murmured in his ear followed by hot breath ghosting across it as his sister-in-law laughed. “She adores her Uncle Rab.”
“She’s a lovely child.” Rabastan meant it. He loved his niece and her cousin.
“Not as much as her mother does though…” Bella continued as if Rabastan hadn’t spoken.
He turned to face her and she pulled the scarf away from his mouth, kissing him enough to warm his cold lips and taste the Cognac on his breath.
She smiled and walked away, leaving him feeling like he’d been hit with a lightning bolt.

Date: 2007-10-12 02:00 pm (UTC)According to me, she's always had a thing for Rabastan. She just craves power and importance and the second son can't give her that.
Thank you.

Your comm gave me the idea to put them together because I also like Bella as a flirt.
I'm trying to show that not all Death Eaters are Voldemort clones, that they do take days off.
Thank you.
