Title: Fairytale Gone Wrong
Characters/Pairing: Bellatrix/Alice
Rating: PG
Summary: The princess and the evil witch.
Author's Notes: Merry Christmas. :)
The evil witch looked like death: black hair on a white pillow, eyes half-closed and mouth half-opened. Like a fairytale gone wrong, in which evil triumphs in the end. But that doesn't happen in real life. Good always wins. Always.
She knew she'd better take a chance with the evil witch then, before it was gone forever.
"Come here." Bella's eyelids fluttered open, revealing irises as dark as her hair. She yawned and her body shuddered underneath the blanket.
One did not disobey the evil witch.
Alice sat down on the edge of the bed and watched. Bella smiled and ran her fingers through Alice's long ringlets, golden like a summer day, smooth and damp from her recent shower.
With an artful spin of her wand, Bella produced a hairbrush from the depths of the sheets. She pulled it firmly through Alice's locks, water droplets collecting at the ends and splattering all over Bella's neck.
"Tell me a story." Bella said it without a hint of pleading in her voice. It was an order, and Alice knew it — her own fault for having what Bella called a 'honey voice.'
"Once upon a time," she began, not knowing exactly where this story would end, "once upon a time there was a maiden. And she lived all by herself, happy and content." The brush strokes slowed ever so slightly. "Then there came a witch who wanted the maiden for her own. The maiden had never thought about witches before, especially one this evil." If Bella understood the parallelism, she didn't let on, but continued brushing.
"But she was a beautiful evil. In fact, some people said she was the daughter of the Devil." The remark was not lost on Bella, Alice knew suddenly, for she felt Bella's grip tighten. "And she seduced the maiden, though the maiden knew better. Because in fairytales, good always wins."
"Does it?" Bella asked, no longer brushing Alice's hair. Alice nodded at her, this girl who was the black to her white, her opposite. And then there was mouth on mouth and skin on skin, and it was the evil witch and the maiden—
A fairytale gone wrong, but a fairytale nonetheless.
