One by one, they all left her, and she was left with no one.
Narcissa met Ginny when she was out shopping in Diagon Alley in Summer, several years after the war had finished. Ginny was curled up in the alley outside Narcissa's favourite clothes shop, sobbing into her arms. Since the war, there had been very little tension between the Malfoy family and the rest of the wizarding world; for the most part, they left eachother alone, but Narcissa had her mothering instincts, and had always wanted a little girl.
Narcissa took hold of Ginny's hand, and took her to a café across the road; Ginny told her all about her family leaving her, and what she had done to make them do so. She had shagged an ex-death eater; Rabastan Lestrange, and was pregnant with his baby.
Ginny remembered how it was the night she and Harry had an explosive argument, so Ginny walked out, after trashing most of the house. She walked for miles before stumbling across a little pub and went in. It was dark and gloomy, most figures were wearing hoods. It wasn't somewhere you'd take your family.
Ginny told Narcissa how she had got chatting to a dark man in a hood, and he had curly strands of hair coming down. After one too many drinks, he booked them a room upstairs and the two were silly enough, and wasted enough, to have unprotected sex. Of course, in the morning, Rabastan wanted rid of Ginny as soon as; he pretty much through her out of the room. Ginny felt abused and degraded, and went straight to her mother for comfort.
Narcissa listened as Ginny explained that her mother offered no comfort, she didn't want to know, and that what she had done was unforgivable. Molly told Ginny she didn't want her to come back again, and whilst Ginny was upset, she didn't mind too much as she had a place to stay with Harry.
Or, at least, until he found out. One by one, they all learnt of her sordid affair and turned their backs on her, even her best friend Hermione, who was spending every night comforting Harry.
Ginny carried on to tell Narcissa that was the situation up until last night, when she went to Rabastan as a last resort; hoping for some comfort. She'd took an early wizarding pregnancy test, and it was positive. Rabastan wanted nothing to do with her or the baby, and slammed the door in her face.
Ginny had slept in that alleyway outside the clothes shop, and was still there sobbing the next day when Narcissa found her.
Narcissa vowed to take Ginny in, for her and the baby's sake. It would give Narcissa someone to mother again, and she could help take care of Ginny's little one. Since she didn't have a better offer, Ginny accepted, and the two formed a close bond over the years, raising the child as their own.
