A light breeze stirred the palm fronds, causing a quiet rustling overhead. Birds sang their songs, interrupted occasionally by a lonely tree frog looking for a mate. The ocean’s waves crashed against the white sandy beach.
The hammock swayed lazily in the afternoon sun. Regulus looked down at his sleeping boyfriend. Rabastan was wrapped possessively around him, his fingers absently stroking the initials above Regulus’ hip. Regulus licked his lips and tasted the salt air and Rabastan and smiled.
It was fucking paradise.
And it was all theirs.
Everything they had gone through over the years had been worth it.
