Regulus writhed on the ground in pain. It was worse than any Crucio he’d ever experienced. Placing Lord Voldemort’s locket around his neck, Regulus crawled to the water’s edge. He knew what he had to do. I order for his plan to work, he had to die. No-one would think to look for him at the bottom of the lake.

After one last breath, Regulus breached the water’s surface and waited. It didn’t take long at all. Soon he was surrounded by marble white sunken faces with lifeless eyes. Icy bony fingers grabbed him and pulled him in.

As he was being dragged down into the fathomless waters, he wasn’t afraid. He closed his eyes and thought of Rabastan and the time they had together. Hopefully he wouldn’t be forgotten or replaced…
