Rare Pair Shorts

Alright, let me see if I can find the right words to express how this lovely gem makes me feel. I can start by telling you that I got the notification that I've been mentioned in a post this morning, right before I was off to work, and I just sat back on my bed and read it all in one go (and I missed the train because of it!!!) and I was completely breathless and in awe and happy and all. And I couldn't stop grinning like a complete idiot. *g*

Okay, first of all, yes I said Ginny/any brother, and I love any of those pairings, but Ginny/Ron is definitely my favourite amongst them all. So this was already a super awesome surprise. Then, your summary sent shivers down my back. Just the summary. It was ace and I loved it, and that's what made me click on the story straight away. So glad I did.

Then, you really managed to keep everyone wonderfully in character. I love the mention of Ron's continuous eating, I love how differently they react to the teasing, I love them. I especially love the tender moments that you mention: Ron going to the kitchen to see Ginny and him making her some hot chocolate in the middle of the night. I love all these things. They are sweet and so at odds with a taboo pairing such as this one.

I love the last scene. I love the sexy times and I love Ron's teasing and the fact that you've waited the whole fic to get to the meaning of the title. Oh, and I love that he kisses her before she gets down on her knees. I love how dominant Ron is in that last paragraph. He's perfect and he makes me sigh happily.

I also adore all the other characters. Fred and George and their mistletoe and the fact that they wanted to catch their parents with it, and Hermione and Harry: they're so perfectly in character. All of them. And I like that maybe Harry might suspect something about the two of them because of the way he replies to Ginny.

This is such a well-thought and wonderful fic. And I really can't thank you enough for writing it for me and for taking all of my likes and dislikes into consideration. This made me so happy, you have no idea. Please, please, please, if you have an AO3 account and want to post it there, add me as recipient of the fic, because I want to show it off to everybody and I want to go back and read and re-read it for forever.
