evening12. :)
Pansy's dress was layered, with subtle ruffles, and a vibrant pink that spiralled from light to dark around the bodice. The skirt rustled when she walked, and sashayed from side to side, making her feel feminine and elegant. Her mask was made with real feathers from an exotic bird, as pink and vibrant as her gown.
Ginny wore a skin-tight dress that was a sparkling emerald in colour; it hugged every little curve of her body and was much shorter than her mother would have ever approved of. Her hair hung down one side of her neck, straight and shining and soft. She walked with precision, feeling every eye in the room turning to glance at the sultry vixen in green when she passed. It made her smirk; she felt a rush of confidence with every step.
The two girls met in the center of the ballroom, peering out at one another through the eyes of their masks, smirking as they recognized the one who'd caught their eye. "Nice dress, Pansy," Ginny said, gesturing to the ruffles and lace.
"It's loads more appropriate than yours," Pansy sniffed, turning her nose up. "Did you really think you could show up here wearing so little? It's rather dangerous, love. People will think you're a slag."
"I didn't wear this for other people," Ginny replied. "I wore it for you, because I knew it'd make you stare at me. I knew it'd make you want me."
"What makes you think I want a filthy little strumpet like you?" Pansy asked, even as they drew closer, even as they put their hands on one another, silk gloves sliding along the bare skin of their shoulders.
"I know you, Pansy Parkinson," Ginny hissed, running her fingers down the smooth silk of Pansy's gown. She leaned in and ran her tongue around Pansy's earlobe. "And I simply adore your dress. It's beautiful. It'll look even more beautiful on my bedroom carpet later."
"I wore this for you," Pansy said with a laugh.
"I know," Ginny replied. "Are you coming?"
"Not yet." Pansy winked, and Ginny laughed loudly, grabbing Pansy's hand. They moved out of the hall, swishing and swaying their hips, the fabric of their dresses whispering to one another.
