Summary: Bloodbloodblood and then no heart. The Basilisk tries to come to terms with its deadly gaze.
Author's Notes: I finally got around to the first challenge! This takes place a bit after the Basilisk (who I have made a girl) has been born - and therefore her thoughts are less coherent than they are in Chamber of Secrets. If you read it aloud rather fast, it sounds neat. (Also, this is NOT a poem. Really. The lines are just short.)
