Challenge: The Numbers Game
Pairing: Charlie Weasley and Igor Karkaroff, Marcus Flint, Penelope Clearwater, Bill Weasley, Nearly Headless Nick, Katie Bell, Dennis Creevey

Summary: Charlie doesn't have much to do in Romania, so he puts his imagination – and his hand - to good use.
Author's Notes: This is sheer crack, sorry! It's also my second attempt at the Numbers Game. I knew I would regret it!
None of the characters felt right for Charlie, so I used them all.

1. Igor Karkaroff
The man is a Death Eater. And a coward, too, who named names to avoid going to Azkaban. Charlie has an instinctive dislike for both dark wizards and rats, and normally he wouldn't even think twice about Karkaroff.
But the man looked good in that fur hat. Maybe it was his dark personality that contributed to it, but he found Karkaroff very hot.
In the cold Romanian night, alone in his bed, Charlie imagines Igor naked, with his fur hat still on. He pulls his pants down, shivering, his eyes closed, imagining the Dark Mark making obscene gestures at him.

2. Marcus Flint
The boy is ugly as sin, with crooked teeth and an evil smile. He's also a Slytherin, and Charlie has that Gryffindor instinctive dislike for Slytherins.
But, Charlie thinks, put a pillowcase over Flint's head and the rest is quite admirable. He saw Marcus playing Quidditch and thought his arse looked especially good with the broom between the cheeks.
The snow falls outside in the Romanian countryside, but Charlie's mind is on a warm summer day in England, he and Marcus together on a grassy field. Charlie takes the pillowcase off Marcus's face and the uneven teeth graze his skin.

3. Penelope Clearwater
She's one of the off-limits women, and Charlie much prefers men anyway. But when he receives the wedding invitation for Percy's wedding, his future sister-in-law takes a special place in his fantasies.
He imagines her in her white gown, walking down the aisle, while Percy waits for her, smiling nervously.
When she passes by the pew where Charlie sits, she winks at him and mouths, "Tonight, in your room."
It's kinky and wrong, he knows, but it's the forbidden that brings him over the edge, the thought that Penny straddles him while Percy waits for her in their honeymoon bed.

Actually, my original fic had some sort of Charlie/Penelope (it was actually a Charlie/Katie in the end), but when it was all done, I realized - and my beta agreed - that it had many similarities to another story, so I trashed it and came up with this!
Thanks for running the challenge, but, seriously, this has reinforced my resolve of not entering a random pairing challenge again. I love minor pairings, but I decided I have to choose the ones I want to write about. You certainly made me step out of my comfort zone, and that's what a chalenge should be, but now I feel like "Been there, done that."
But certainly looking forward to other challenges you throw our way.
