New Mod Announcement

Hi everyone! We're pleased to announce that Rare Pair Shorts will keep running in 2023. Maraudersaffair and yletylyf are taking over going forward. In the next few days, look for another post with information about the next steps for the community. In the meantime, thanks to everyone who participated in the winter exchange, we hope you are all enjoying the fics!

A huge thank you to digthewriter and sirmioneforever for their incredible work building this community and doing all the organizing and brainstorming for so long. We love what you built, and we are very grateful to the people who participate in this comm and contribute so many great HP rare pair works. We look forward to organizing more great events for everyone to participate in.

This is exciting news! I’ve wanted to join some of the last few events but wasn’t able to make it. A big thanks to digthewriter and sirmioneforever for all their work and care and also to maraudersaffair and yletylyf for taking this on!

Ah, wonderful news! I was sad as I was about to comment on the previous post and to word my regrets that I had failed to take part in the last few(?) event(s) here. Since summer 2020 I'd taken part five times, and enjoyed both writing and reading new pairings thanks to the inspiring community. Thank you, digthewriter and sirmioneforever, for all the work you did, developing and modding this fabulous place and so many fun fests! And thank you, maraudersaffair and yletylyf for stepping up to continue their work here!

This is so exciting! I've been writing for this comm (on and off) since 2009, and while I totally understood why it might have needed to end, I'm beyond pleased to know that it will continue. Thank you to all the previous mods, and thank you, new mods! Rare pairs ftw.

ETA -- Will the comm continue to cross-post on DW and LJ, or will it be DW only?

Yes, good question. I think we will close the LJ community and just do DW - less work for both the mods and the participants!
