“Crookshanks!” Hermione yelled. “Come here!”

That devilish ball of orange fur had disappeared, again, and this time with her advanced Potions paper – the year’s first assignment. Somehow, slicing her toes off sounded better than telling Snape ‘my cat ate my homework’.

Crookshanks seemed to love the Burrow, with all its nooks and crannies. She treaded back upstairs, eyes narrowed, and in her haste collided with a solid figure.

Tall, muscular, and Charlie, to be exact. With Crookshanks safely nestled in his arms.

He held up her paper, eyes laughing. She snatched both from him, stalking away from his smirking face.
