Wow! I loved this! What a great, riveting premise!
I loved how it opened: Sirius racing to see if James is all right, and the reader not completely understanding the situation, but still very worried about James and Lily. Then the blow that -- omg, Lily actually *died* and James was left the care for Harry alone! Ugh! Truly wonderful and gut-wrenching.
There was so much delicious tension between Sirius & James too! I really felt their history and intimacy when Sirius held his hand. I also really loved this because it made me so conflicted! What a terrible situation -- Lily died but omg . . . now Sirius can be there for James and maybe they can raise Harry together . . . But who knows? Would James ever let Sirius "take Lily's place"? I love that I have so many questions!
Seriously, great job! I know this fest is about being *short*, but omg I want more! I want to read 50k about this premise. So good!! THANK YOU!!
