Holy cow, this is fantastic. There are two crucial rules to writing rarepairs, in my mind, and especially ones this rare. 1.) Remind us who they are in canon, and 2.) make us care about them now. And you accomplished both of those things beautifully (and almost immediately! I was hooked after the first segment!) I love how the story moves around in time to show us the complete picture of this amazing relationship. The scenes that stood out most for me were when Terence appeared at the hospital after the Dept of Mysteries battle, and when their son says that word. That was an incredibly powerful scene, perfectly choreographed.
