One of my favourite HP pairings – and so beautifully written. I particularly like Bella's – well, you can almost call it a journey – to her secret rendez-vous: Contemplating her newly won freedom, not being quite secure in it yet until her sense of self comes back and she knows her place in the world again... on top of the food chain so to speak. I loved the paragraph that spoke of her feelings for Rodolphus how they loved and yet wouldn't let passion interfere with what they perceived as a higher purpose. If they didn't hold this belief they probably couldn't bare the separation now that they are both free – and yet, though they understand the punishment, they can't help but being defiant, if only a little. I loved the image you used of them turning into stone – a monument for eternity. And the last sentence is very moving. It's like you can't help but wish that their hopes would come true and the next victory would re-unite them. Very well done. Thank you so much for writing and sharing!
