Neville lay in the snow after being hit in the head by an unidentified falling object. A few minutes later, Ginny came into view above him holding a Quaffle with her other hand on her hip and an exasperated look on her face.
'Why do you play Quidditch in the snow?'
'It's called practice, and we have a game coming up,' she said. 'Why does your head somehow always get in the way.'
'Because I'm tall?'
She raised an eyebrow in response.
'Because Harry Potter stole all my luck?'
After rolling her eyes at that, she laughed. Harry was uncharacteristically lucky, and Neville quite the opposite. 'Why are you out here? You know it's not safe.'
'Waiting for you to be done with your game so you can help me pick a gift for her.'
'Are you wanting Pansy to fall in love with you or with me?'
'She's not going to care if you help me out. She's probably getting Malfoy to help her find something for me, right now.'
'Really?'
Neville blushed. 'Maybe?'
'Would it mean more to you if he helped or if she figured it out on her own?'
'It doesn't matter. She doesn't like me...'
'Yet,' Ginny corrected. 'Have you asked Luna.'
He gave her a look that said yes, and that went about as well as one would expect.
Ginny thought to herself for a moment but then shook her head again. 'Nope, you're on your own for this part. Good luck, Neville.'
Neville groaned before he pulled himself up out of the snow.
