Secondly, oh my gosh, I'm sorry! I sort of fell off the fandom train this past week and then popped back in to find pressies waiting! /o\ Bad Katy! So sorry about that!
I LOVE THIS! AHHHHH! Seriously, it's fantastic! And it definitely doesn't even feel short-- it feels LONG in the best way! Like the whole world was so vivid, and I could totally see all the little bits that weren't explicitly mentioned, and just yes! I love this bakery more than anything! I love the challenge of catering to both Magical and Muggle crowds. I love Theo! (I DEFINITELY love a snarky Slytherin best friend. Always! BEST!-- and worst :-P Haha!) I love blunt Millicent and Dudley as a regular customer and them dancing around each other and being adorkable. (That trope will NEVER, EVER, EVER get old for me. I will love it always, and I think it's very possibly one of my all-time favorites. *swoons*) I loved the scene when she asked for his name. I love how she appreciates his broad, strong shoulders that strain jackets and make her feel dainty. I love her mental commentary, especially all the bits about killing Theo! Haha! I love Harry barging in to ... idk what he thinks he's doing, but it's so perfectly Harry! *affectionate eyeroll* Loved Millicent so soundly setting him straight without even having to be a jerk about it. That was so fun. And the buns in the oven thing made me laugh out loud! HAHA! No, Potter! Literal buns! *dies* I could happily read a million words in this universe-- it's that awesome and open, which is so impressive in such a relatively short story! I want the Blaise/Theo side story now too, which is something I never thought I'd say. Haha! But I would totally love it in this 'verse with snarky Millicent for the bff and her great commentary. ;-) So congrats on opening up a new door for me!
I absolutely loved this. Thanks so, so, so much, bb! :-D What a brilliant treat. I'm only sorry I didn't read and squee about it earlier!
