Hermione's Gryffindor traits have come to the rescue. Yes, Percy could have been a bit more informative, but I'm not sure Kingsley would have taken anything Percy said as a hint to ask her out.. Now I hope he sends and owl to let her know he is very interested... and then take her to very nice restaurant and a private dinning room.
