Oh, Mystery Author, this was just so beautiful! So beautiful and so incredibly sad. I love how you started their relationship with a first kiss that really meant nothing but everything (and how adorable it was! The imagination of her having to kiss any kinds of random people really made me laugh) and then how you slowly built up their relationship and still leaving it all to the imagination, really. The end was so heartbreaking, especially this part: They should have been doting grandparents together. They were supposed to grow old together. So sad!
