It was a Wednesday in their 6th year when Hannah suddenly found herself backed into a wall and kissed by Kevin Entwhistle on the Arithmancy floor.
"What did you go and do that for?!" Hannah stumbled and wiped her mouth.
"Is it true that you and Wayne Hopkins are an item?"
"What?? Nooo!!"
"So why is he going around and telling everyone who listens so?"
"Lisa Turpin broke up with him and he is probably trying to come out of it as the less hurt party."
"Good."
"Good?" Hannah ogled.
"Yes. Because I can do this again and again and again." He kissed her fully on the lips.
Hannah froze a moment before she shrugged and kissed him back.
They were one of the few couples who lasted for more than a few weeks. Merlin, for more than the school year.
Hogwarts' student body voted them "Most likely to marry as the first couple of this year's class".

It was a Wednesday when Kevin had entered a jewelry store and suddenly found himself looking at engagement rings and realized that was what he wanted. At first, he had just look at some flower and leaf themed jewels to celebrate her success but something had drawn him over to the engagement section. Hannah would successfully leave uni in a few weeks and had already a contract with some Potions company to research and plant remedial plant in her pocket. This was just right.
The small, black box burnt a hole into the pocket of his coat when he entered the flat he shared with Hannah. He hung it on its peg before he walked into the study where Hannah, his girlfriend for more than 8 years, sat buried under books and notes in preparation for her oral examination for her doctorate.
"Hello, Hannah."
"Kevin." She wiped her head around. "You're early. Or did I forget the time again?" She threw a glance to the clock on the wall.
"I am early."
"Okay. Are you hungry? We still have plenty of leftovers from Grandma."
"No, thank you." He took a breath. "Hannah, can I talk to you about something?"
"Okay." She sounded suspicious. "Spill."
He fidgeted. "You're going to finish your studies pretty soon and I wondered if we should ... move into some bigger flat, a house ... or something."
She looked confused. "No, I haven't thought about it at all. But now that you asked ... I don't think we need a bigger flat right now."
"Hm."
"Was there something else you wanted to talk about?"
"Yes, actually." He tossed her the black box. Hannah caught it out of pure instinct. "Open it."
She complied and gasped. "Kevin, is this what I think it is?"
"If you think it is an engagement ring, yes, it is."
"Kevin, I ..." Hannah's voice broke.
"Hannah, will you marry me? I know we talked about it and decided to wait but when I went into jewelry store today, I realized that this -what we have - is what I really, really want. And I don't want to want to wait any longer. I want to be your man in every possible way."
He looked at her and saw tears had filled her eyes. "Hannah?"
She sniffed and smiled which caused the tears to flow. "Yes, of course, silly."

It was a Wednesday morning when Hannah stared at the white strip in her hand.
For a few days now, she had suffered from some infect, being sick and tired all morning but that was her normal routine when she was sick.
But when her menstruation had been late, the idea of being pregnant entered her mind. Delayed by sickness was always an option but Hannah wanted to be sure. As soon as the sick feeling in her stomach had ebbed, she had been on her way to the next apothecary. And now, she sat on the sofa and ... Oh Merlin! Hannah hid her face in her hand.
When Kevin came home that evening, he found his wife awake in their bed reading.
"Are you feeling better?" He asked as he sat on the edge of the bed and kissed her temple.
"Yes, I am fine, thank you."
"Have you been to the doc?"
"No, but I made an appointment with my obgyn."
"Your obgyn? Why?"
Hannah stretched to reach the bedside table and handed him the pregnancy test.
"I think I am pregnant."
"Wha..."
"My mens is late, I am sick in the morning and tired all the time and this is a positive test. There is a distinct possibility that we are going to be parents in about 9 months."
Hannah's ramble had a desperate, sharp edge. Kevin gulped before he spoke.
"I am ... You are... a baby?"
"Yes."
"Wow."
Hannah nodded. "That comes close to what I thought."
"Why? I mean when?"
"I think you are fairly familiar with the mechanics," Hannah smirked, "and for the when, I calculated for a bit and I think the weekend on Guernsey."
Hannah smiled but it fell when Kevin still looked run-over by a lorry.
"Kevin? You ... You are okay with that? I know we didn't plan it and it beats all our wedding plans to pieces but this is-"
"Brilliant!"
"What?"
"I am going to be a dad." He kissed her.
"Are you happy?"
"You said Guernsey. Does that mean we need to tell the baby that it was potentially created in a hotel shower?"
Hannah blushed in response while Kevin peeled the cover off her and lifted her shirt.
"What are you doing?"
"Looking at our baby."
"Kevin, the embryo is less than 1 cm big. I won't be starting to show till the 4th month."
"I don't care. There is our baby in you." He placed his hand under her belly button. "I want to come along to the appointment."
"Okay." Hannah said flatly.
"Thank you. You just made my day."
She placed her hands over his and kissed him.
"You are so very welcome."
