Yaaay! OK, where do I start?

First of all, I love that you chose this pairing. When I asked for Moaning Myrtle/anyone I didn't even think that 'anyone' could mean Tom Riddle, but you chose him, and I'm so glad you did. Because it makes so much sense, in such a tragic way.

Myrtle may be miserable, but the ghost thing aside, she's just a plain, ordinary girl, whereas Tom Riddle, on the other hand, is a handsome, charming sociopath. The fact that he was the one who killed her, after tricking her into coming to the bathroom? Made me shiver.

Then, there's the irony of her eternal half-life as opposed to Voldemort's fear of death. You handled the hopelessness and despair of being a ghost very well, especially in lines such as these:

If most of their memories range from sad to plain tragic, they tend to cling to their grief, for it’s the only certainty they know.

And the ending, where Myrtle is incapable of doing anything else than watch while Draco is being threatened by Voldemort, silently thinking (wishing?) that he will keep her company, was so sad and touching.

In short, this is really thoughtful and heart-breaking. Thanks so much for writing this for me!
